small hotel, big room for improvement

i was drawn in by the friendly owner, but the overwhelming mothball smell in the lobby was tough to bear. neither the squeaky bed nor the broken mini-fridge added to the experience.

I was initially worried about not getting through on the phone, but that changed when I noticed how clean everything was. The staff provided helpful service throughout. I appreciated the extra amenities like a microwave in the room for some snacks. As a European traveler, the simplicity was refreshing.

The thin walls made it easy to hear noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms. Also, I noticed some issues with the phone connection when trying to reach the reception.

camino real is a quaint hotel with spotless rooms. i loved how cozy my room felt, even though it was small. the location is great, very close to the attractions, and the feeling of safety made my stay more enjoyable. plus, those recreational opportunities were a fun bonus!

During my stay, I was particularly impressed by the proximity to several attractions, like the Fort Duncan Museum and the Plaza de las Culturas. The best part of my visit was exploring the local scene, including a delightful meal at El Chapulin, which offered some of the best street food I've ever tasted. It was convenient to relax at the nearby Maverick County Lake after a day of sightseeing.

Cozy stay with a touch of noise

I had a cozy stay with clean accommodations and a comfortable bed. The staff was very helpful, which made the experience enjoyable. However, the thin walls allowed noise from the hallway to seep into my room, which could be disruptive at times.

my husband and i stayed at this hotel for one night and we were pleasantly surprised. after some bad stays at chain motels in eagle pass, this place exceeded our expectations with its clean rooms and friendly staff. the bed was comfortable, and we loved the hot water and pressure in the shower.
